Museum de Oude Aarde
Museum De Aarde (translated to English: Museum The Old Soil) show you the depths of the origins of Giethoorn. Here you find a collection of the many gemstones and minerals found in the area. And there is something to see: this museum is not for nothing one of the special stops of Private Tours.
The museum was founded in 1969 by René Boissevain. The very first stones to find a place in the museum were Australian agates, collected by hand. The most beautiful pieces were displayed in a showcase and could be viewed for just a quarter at the time. The other agates were sold in the shop.
Visit Museum De Oude Aarde with Private Tours and take home a unique Giethoorn souvenir. Thanks to direct imports from around the world, the museum offers a wholesale selection of gemstones, minerals, and fossils straight from the source. Each of these remarkable pieces has been personally selected on-site by museum staff! With a comprehensive range of gemstones and decorative stones, from raw stones to jewelry, this wholesaler provides the largest assortment in the Netherlands—everything you're looking for can be found here.
And (just like the boats of Private Tour) there’s something beautiful for every budget!
